This is page 2 of issue 25 of the irregular ezine bracket bracket.

First, fire up the Hexagrammaton.

Then, stare at it for a goodly while, thinking about what you'll be up to in 109,909,688 years.

When things seem right, grab a single frame by pressing the Print Screen key. (For Apple, Command-Shift-3.)

Print the frame, or paste it into a program such as a wordprocessor or a paint program.

For each of the six squares, count how many times a line intersects the edge of the square.

For example: The top left square below has 6 points where a line intersects the edge of the square.

For the above example, you'd get these six numbers:

628
460

All of these numbers will be even. Now divide each of the numbers by 2 to get:

314
230

Now figure out which of these numbers is even or odd.

oddoddeven
evenoddeven

Odd numbers are unbroken lines, even numbers represent broken lines. Reading left to right, top to bottom, you get the following hexagram.

Which you can plug into this online I Ching.
Which in this example yielded:

Huan / Dispersion (Dissolution)

The Judgement
     Dispersion. Success.
     The king approaches his temple.
It furthers one to cross the great water.
     Perseverance furthers.

The Image
The wind drives over the water:
     The image of Dispersion.
Thus the kings of old sacrificed to the Lord
     And built temples.
